Application description

Add to the excitement of the Formula 1™ 2011 season with the fantastic Formula 1™ Predicta from Sports Alive. The ultimate prediction competition for Formula 1™ and it is completely FREE!

Race by race put your predictions as to what you believe will be the order of the first 10 drivers over the finishing line will be. Entries are taken up to 15 minutes before the start of each Grand Prix™.  

Points are awarded for all your correct predictions - can you top the leader board?

Simple to use application with intuitive layout and entry system. The application also has up to date news and previous results to help you with you predictions.

* Scoring system where a player is not penalized for not having a pick in the exact order of place. However, if a player’s pick finishes lower than recorded the player receives no points.

 

Winner results calculations

For F1 the scoring would be as follows:-

 

If your pick for first finishes first you get 10 points

If your pick for second finishes second or better you get 9 points

If your pick for third finishes third or better you get 8 points

If your pick for fourth finishes fourth or better you get 7 points

If your pick for fifth finishes fifth or better you get 6 points

If your pick for sixth finishes sixth or better you get 5 points

If your pick for seventh finishes seventh or better you get 4 points

If your pick for eighth finishes eighth or better you get 3 points

If your pick for ninth finishes ninth or better you get 2 points

If your pick for tenth finishes tenth or better you get 1 points

Assume the possible picks are A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, J, K 

A player enters their picks in that order from A coming in first to K coming tenth and that is the exact order of finish. The player would score a perfect 55 score. With an additional 10 bonus points for the person with the best score who submitted their predictions first.

Assume the possible picks are A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, J, K 

A player enters their picks in exact opposite order from K coming in first to A coming in tenth, but the finish is the exact opposite. The player would score 15 points because only the picks F, G, H, J, K would score points.

This scoring system allows you to award prizes based on the points earned. A player is not penalized for not having a pick in the exact order of place. However, if a player’s pick finishes lower than recorded the player receives no points.
